Being a burn surgeon requires knowledge of the complex and ever-changing science of burns, balanced with understanding the business of medicine to lead a viable burn center in today’s medical environment. Effective leadership skills are essential to leading teams in the clinical setting, participating in hospital and health system structures, and leading in organized medicine.
This new program designed specifically for burn surgeons, will cover innovative ideas and new material in the biology of burns as well as the economics of running a burn center and the role of the burn surgeon as a business and scientific leader.
